Approve Staff Inspection Charges

When performing a staff room inspection, if any inventory items are defined as in a Billable condition, and thus contain charges for the residents, the charges must first be approved before they can appear in the FT tab of the patron’s profile. Using the Approve Staff Inspection Charges page, staff members can view charges for a room inspection, assign patrons to the charge, and edit the charge amount. After the charges are configured, the staff member can then approve the charges. Once approved, Financial Transaction charges can be generated for the patrons.

After charges are generated, users can search for patrons based on the charges via the Patron module's Advanced Find function. A search can be performed by using the expression FTJournal.Source = Room Inspection. To view the facility associated with a generated charge, the FTJournal.FacilityFullName column can be added.

User Permissions for Approving Staff Inspection Charges

In the Setup module, there are three user permissions for room inspection charges functionality (Setup > Security > Roles > (select role) > Select). The following permissions available:

     Room Maintenance.RoomInspection.ApproveStaffInspectionCharges - Controls access to the Approve Staff Room Inspection Charges page.

     Room Maintenance.RoomInspection.RIStaffInspectionChargeApproval - Allows a user to approve or update charges for a staff room inspection.

     Room Maintenance.RoomInspection.RIStaffInspectionCharges - Allows a user to Edit or View charges for a staff room inspection.
