Use the following procedure to view assignment results from the Results tab of the Automatic Assignment page:
1. Select Automatic Assignment from the Assignment section of the Patron menu. The List of Assignment Batches grid is displayed in the Search tab on the Automatic Assignment page.
2. If necessary, search for an assignment batch.
3. Click Select on the desired assignment batch, and then select the Results tab.
4. Click Run to process the assignment batch and display the proposed assignments.
5. After the assignment process has be run, the Assignment Results statistics and patron Results list are populated with the results on the left side of the page.
The assignment’s Criteria, Failed Assignments (if available), Preferences, and Candidate Results grids is displayed on the right side of the page. Refer to the Results Grid Overview for more information about these grids.
6. If necessary, a patron’s assignment can be “failed” by clicking Fail Candidate. Failing a candidate prevents the patron from being assigned when assignments are applied.
7. In the Assignment Results list, the following information is displayed:
•Candidates: Total number of patrons processed in the assignment batch.
•Assigned: Number of patrons assigned.
•Failed: Number of patrons that were not assigned.
•Start Time: Time the assignment batch began processing.
•End Time: Time the assignment batch finished processing.
•Requested Roommate Assigns: The number of patrons assigned based on requested roommate criteria.
8. If necessary, select Criteria in the View By menu to display each facility and the subsequent criteria that resulted in a match for any candidates assigned to that facility.
9. If necessary, the facility try can be filtered by searching for a patron name. To clear the search value, click the Clear Search button.
