Patron Advanced Find Search Results

After ResCenter completes the Advanced Find search, a Search Results screen will appear displaying the results of the find. From this window, the following options are available:

Note: For new Advanced Find searches, the Patron.ID Number, Patron.Last Name, and Patron.First Name columns are selected by default. To learn how to display more columns, refer to the Configure the Display Settings steps in the Use Advanced Find to Find Patrons section.

Click the First Page, Previous Page, Next Page, or Last Page arrows to navigate the pages of the grid.

View

Select a patron by clicking View next to the desired patron’s name. The patron’s user profile will appear. To return to Advanced Find, click the Return to Advanced Find link on the patron’s profile page. The Advanced Find page will display with the existing search criteria.

Refer to the Patron section for more information on Patron module functionality.

Alter Display

Click Alter Display|topic=Altering Grid Displays to define the columns, sort, and number of rows to display in the grid. Click Restore Default in the Change display on the grid window to restore the display to the default settings.

Print

Click Print to display the browser’s print dialog for printing the list of Advanced Find results.

Export Results to

Click the Export Results to button to display the following options:

     Click Export to ID List to save the Advanced Find results as an .xml file. ID Lists can be used to import patrons into other parts of ResCenter, such as patron Assignments.

     Click Export to CSV to save the Advanced Find results as a CSV text, with each field separated by a comma. This file is viewable in a spreadsheet program or a text editor.

     Click Export to Excel to save the Advanced Find results as a Microsoft Excel file.

     Click Export to Word to save the Advanced Find results as a Microsoft Word file.

     Click Export to PDF to save the Advanced Find results as an Adobe PDF file.

     Click Export with Email to email a copy of the exported Advanced Find results in any of the export file formats.

Show Pictures

Click the Show Pictures check box to display the profile picture of each patron listed in the results grid.

Note: If Show Pictures is enabled when exporting Advanced Find results, ID List and CSV files will not include pictures.

Close

Click Close to close the Advanced Find search results and return to the Advanced Find screen. The Advanced Find Expression will be retained and can be saved, modified, and/or ran again.
