Select Preferences for the Ranked Assignment Batch

Using the Preferences tab, an administrator can select the Preferences used in the ranked assignment batch. The batch will still use the preferences selected in the Configuring Building Preferences step. However, out of all of the preferences a patron may select, the ranked assignment batch will only incorporate preferences for any buildings selected on the Preference tab. These selections act as a filter for all possible preferences.

After adding candidates to a ranked assignment batch, use the following procedure to select Preferences for the batch from the Preferences tab of the Automatic Assignment page:

1.  Select Automatic Assignment from the Assignment section of the Patron menu. The List of Assignment Batches grid is displayed in the Search tab on the Automatic Assignment page.

2.  If necessary, search for an assignment batch.

3.  Click Select on the desired ranked assignment batch, and then select the Preferences tab.

4.  Select the desired preferences from the Available Preferences list and click Add Selected. To add all preferences, select Add All.

If necessary, remove a preference by selecting it from the Selected Preferences list and clicking Remove Selected. To remove all preferences, click Remove All.

Note: Only facility-related preferences will be displayed in the Available Preferences list.

5.  After selecting preferences, continue by selecting an assignment maximum for the ranked assignment batch.
