The Family Affiliation is a read-only display of a patron’s affiliation with family members that are also Odyssey HMS or ResCenter Patrons. The Family Affiliation value is displayed on a patron’s General tab but is edited in the Family tab.

The following rules determine the value displayed for a patron’s Family Affiliation:

•     If, as of the current date, the patron is a family member of another patron, the Family Affiliation displays Family Member of [Host full name].

•     If, as of the current date, the patron is the host of a family containing other patrons, the Family Affiliation displays Family host - ## dependents.

•     If, as of the current date, the patron has no family affiliation, the Family Affiliation displays None.
